Building mobile systems that hold at scale.

Abdelrahman Saed — Lead Mobile Engineer at iStoria. Cairo, Egypt / Remote.

I build mobile systems that hold at scale. 7 years shipping production iOS and Android to 5M+ users — and the throughline is always the same: architecture that doesn't rot under growth, releases that ship on schedule, and teams that get sharper every sprint.

Today I lead a 4-engineer mobile squad at iStoria. I own the architecture, the release pipeline, and the engineering culture. We cut our release cycle from four weeks to one, held a 99.9% crash-free rate across 350+ releases, and built a platform where four engineers out-ship teams twice their size.

What I care about: making the right thing the default. Offline-first reads so no learner stares at a spinner. Failures as values so the app never crashes on an error path. Feature flags so deploy and release are separate decisions. The technology is the easy part — the hard part is building systems and teams where good decisions compound instead of decay.

Scale, in numbers

  • 5M+ — Users reached
  • 350+ — Production releases
  • 99.9% — Crash-free rate
  • 7+ — Years shipping mobile
  • 7+ — Open-source packages
  • 900+ — PRs reviewed
